Tips For Dealing With Nappy Rash

It is horrible seeing your child have sore bum because you know how painful it would be if it were to happen to yourself. Today I am going to share with you some of the tips which I have done in order to help prevent her from suffering from a nappy rash and also what I do when she does actually get in because you can do everything to avoid it, however, sometimes this is not enough.
The first tip is to make sure that you change their nappy regular this might sound silly, but as they become older and closer to potty training when they are not filling nappy’s as often, this can become something which you can actually forget. It is recommended that you change either nappy every 3-4 hours which they are wake, of course, the last thing you want to do is to wake a small sleeping child.  Of course, should your child have a dirty nappy or have a full nappy you will need to change it and this could be more often than the recommended time. I will sometimes admit when I am busy whether it is commuting or on a busy day out I forget that she needs to be changed this often. At the moment we are potty training which means that she is not going in nappies as often which keeps them cleaner.
Make sure you get fragrance free baby wipes because adding too much fragrance to a babies bum can cause them irritation which is never good and can be a cause of nappy rash. It is recommended that you do not use too many baby wipes, however, keep their bum as clean and hygienic as possible. I use a mixture of brands ranging from Pampers, Huggies to ever supermarkets own brand and am yet to find a brand which has made her bum sore I would recommend all the ones which I have listed above.  I wipe at every change and of course when it is a dirty nappy I have to use more than one. It is recommended that you do use water and cotton wool but as we all know this is not convenient when you are on days out or change nappies where there may not be running water . For example I change Jess in the front room and would have to make trips to the kitchen while she would be laid on the changing mat.
I try and allow Jess to have some time when she is sore when she does not have to wear a nappy as this can make it worse. I know it is not always possible but letting her even 5-10 minutes per day when she has no nappy on can give her massive benefits when she is struggling with nappy rash,. Since we are doing potty training at the moment it does mean that we can actually give her a little bit longer because of the fact she usually tells us when we need to put her on the potty.

Finally I would recommend getting some kind of barrier cream such as sudacream or bepanthen  I have used both of these creams which have worked wonders when I think Jess if coming out with some nappy rash. I have been known to apply it when she is not even suffering with in order to keep her bum in the best condition which I can.  You can actually purchase everything you need in order to treat nappy rash from this section of Chemist4U- Nappy rash products

How I Juggle University, Blogging and Been A Mum

Recently I shared a posts about how I struggle with Mum guilt because of the fact that I am a 3rd year university student a Mum and obviously a blogger. I have also had a few conversations with other people fellow bloggers and people who I interact with on Instagram who have said they do not know how I manage to do all the things I do. To me because of the fact that I do it and have no choice otherwise things wouldn’t get done. Currently I have a help from my mum because as you will know if you have ready my blog for a while Joe is not here which means that I am doing it solo as such.

In terms of university work and I will not lie there is a ton of it reading, planning assignment and of course writing them on top of lectures. I try and set myself a goal ever single day so I will focus on one module a day and this helps me know what i need to do at the moment I am focusing on an assignment due in December however, I have done a rough plan and starting doing my reading around the subject to make it easier for myself. I go to uni on my days off because I find it so hard to work from home with a toddler who always wants your attention so if she is busy been entertaining at nursery it means I can crack on. I try and do the hours between 9-5 and keep it like a job however, sometimes I end up doing a bit of work at home when Jess is in bed on a night. This is a way I can try and keep my weekends free from university work which is something which you would do if you had a normal 9-5 typical job.

If I am not in a great mood I can find it transferring to my private/ home life which is annoying because I do not like taking it out on Jess and anyone else who is close to me.  I purchased a personal planner which allows me to keep my eye on the date which work is due in and when I actually have class and important things. My timetable can change every single week this means that I need to make sure that Jess has childcare sorted as some of my lectures can finish after 6pm which is the latest when she can be picked up from nursery and I need to make sure that I do actually have childcare for her. This can range from my Dad coming to York and picking her up while I have a lecture and then take us home. Sometimes she gets picked up by her Daddy depending if he is around and then they have some quality time together.

In order of been a Mum I try and dedicate the whole of the weekend to Jess sometimes, this will see me do work on a Sunday afternoon when she spends a little bit of time with her Grandparents. This allows me to catch up on any work which I may not have been able to do during the week. We like to do something fun during the period of the weekend sometimes it may be something small but as long as she is having a lot of fun that is all that matters. I know that it is going to be easier to have a lot more family time when Joe is back even though I know my work load is going to get even larger I will not feel guilty if I know that I have work to do because she is going to be able to have some amazing special time with Joe. I think that they need some more time to be spent together because they have been away from each other for so long. Planning is key because we have now plans for most weekend’s in December and we have multiple plans for next year in the pipeline. Shopping online when I am commuting or when Jess is napping in order for her to get clothes and presents is something which we have to do. Currently me and Joe are constantly sending each other links for ideas of Christmas for everyone because soon we know this is going to be something which we need to deal with.

Blogging is something which can struggle when I am so busy I take my an hour of Sunday afternoon and dedicate this taking picture for the week ahead or the next week which I am planning content for. The reason I say this because sometimes I have posts scheduled for a couple of weeks this is something which I need to do again because I know work is going to be busy again. I write the ideas for my posts in my phone if I do not actually end up writing the post in a app called blog manager on the iphone. This helps me be able to get my words down while I am doing something else such as commuting and then unable to use my laptop. I will then go back when I get chance and add the pictures into a post this can be something like on a short period I have off between lectures on my lunch break. I have a Busy Bee diary which allows me to write when I have scheduled a post for because they can be a while ahead. For example I wrote a post on new years eve which is going to be  up in December. I try and schedule social media post for the whole week on a Sunday which means that my posts are always been promoted if I can not be active on social media my presence is still been felt and I am gaining new readers.

I currently am leaving my house around 6.45 am and getting home around 6.45pm which means that my days are very long and sometimes I do not want to be spending the time which I do have at home looking at a screen. When no doubt it is something which I have been doing for hours which is one of the reasons why I have not been blogging on a night however, taking part in the bloggers chats are something which I would love to be able to get back into.

How do you juggle everything you do? I would love to know

Mum Guilt- Being A Working Mum

Mum guilt is something which I think every single parent struggles with and there is multiple reasons as you might have read a few months ago now when I did a post about the guilt which I suffer because of the fact that I missed two whole trimesters with Jess. Today I am going to share with you another thing which causes me mummy guilt is the fact that I am a working mum well university student mum which is the same as having a full-time job due to a number of hours I have to pump into my studies.

I was lucky to have a whole year of staying at home to look after Jess because of the fact that her birthday is September and this is when the academic year starts so I had to wait to be able to go back to continue my studies. At the time it was not one of the most enjoyable times for me because I would get bored quite easy I would love now to have the year with her. The reason behind this is because now she does have her own personality which is amazing and we can play a lot more which is something that I know she thoroughly enjoys.
However, getting time to play with Jess and spending quality time with her is something which I know I don’t do enough because of the fact that I am always busy either commuting ok yes we do spend time together then but she is usually in her pram grumpy. Or she is at nursery while I study and now as I had reached my third year it can mean that I have work to do on a weekend because my workload is so much higher I don’t always get it all done in the week which is something that really sucks and eats on family time.

When I start to feel guilty  for this I remind myself that I am actually studying in order to give her a better life because it should improve my job opportunities. Currently, I have to wake Jess up around 5.45 and she is not getting to bed till between 7/8pm. Of these hours I properly only see her for a couple of these most of them are spent on a train going to university which means the time is not good quality.

My stress levels, of course, this year are higher because of the fact that I know I need to succeed and get good grades in order to be able to continue my studies. I have spoken to a number of people about the fact that I sometimes feel super guilty about this issue and they always come back saying they don’t know how you actually do it. Sometimes I think I do need to see the bigger picture and it is going to allow me to provide a much better life for her then she would have if I did not complete my studies. At the moment while I am slaving away over essay plans and readings I think about how amazing it is going to be to have Jess at my graduation. Another excuse for Mummy to purchase her a beautiful dress for the occasion.

I am fully aware that the mum guilt will not go away even when I complete my studies because I am going to have a job no doubt which means that I do not work normal 9-5 hours. The benefit of already been a qualified sports therapist and someone who wants to continue into physiotherapy. I think one of the reasons why the mum guilt at the moment is even more increased for me is due to the fact that Daddy is not here. This means the at the moment Jess is spending a lot less time with us as a family than I would like and she is growing up a lot faster than I would like. I don’t want to miss so much of the precious moments which occur while they are developing their personalities even more.
I do not regret having a child so young because I know that I am still able to continue my dreams of a career. As well as enjoy all the fun times which I have as a result of having a toddler. Yes, it might mean that my days as a university student are over as I used to know them but there is nothing better than not been hungover at 9am in a lecture and getting huge cuddles and Jess shouting I missed you when you pick her up. Even though this does pull at the heartstrings because I know nursery does her so much good and allows her to learn and develop as a person but I can’t help but feel guilty that at the age of 2 she misses me.
I know I am not alone a recent study shows that 57% of  British parents priorities work over family life. I know for sure at the moment that I am one of them because of how important this year is in terms of my study. I know that I really need to work on my work-life balance and this is something which I am going to focus on more when Joe is home. I may even do a post on how I have changed my ways in order to spend more time with Jess. There are quizzes online such as this one which will help you see the work-life balance you have.
Do you have mum guilt because of being a working parent?

Jess at 2

Dear Jess

Wow time really flies when you are having a lot of fun. I can not believe that it has been two whole years since you came into our life’s or does not feel like it has been that long I now can not imagine life with you. You have grown so much since you were no bigger than Daddy’s forearm and now your own toddler who never stays still enough to measure you against Daddy.

In the past year you have grown up so much you have managed to master walking and now never want to stay still. You love even been able to hold our hand and be able to walk against us because you are growing up. You even love to hold our hand when you are crossing roads. You also love been to explore when on your reins and you think you are a big girl and you love being able to feel like this when you are exploring.

You really love the outdoors at the moment it is hard to keep you in because you are obsessed with been outdoors all of the time. You love being able to play on your scuttlebug and your rocker which you adore. I can not wait till you can get a balance bike next year and we can have so much more fun with you exploring. I am sure you are going to love putting on your wellies and coat on once the leaves start changing because you will be able to kick the leaves and have so much fun.

You adore been able to colour and draw pictures recently it is something that you have got in you seem to be able to doing more drawings. Which is amazing because one of the great things which mummy loves is been able to put your pictures on the fridge. You get excited when you see it and you always are making pictures for Daddy which he loves as he can take it away when he is not with us. I am sure he loves it because he can look at them when he is missing you.

Recently you have gained your own personality you are super stubborn if you do not want to do something you will just basically say no and have a tantrum stood where you are. This is something which can drive me insane because you can push my buttons. Hopefully is it is something which you are going to grow out of very soon because it’s so horrible.

You are still the daredevil which you have always been I dread it every single time you do something to yourself it only took you less than 18 months to get your first black eye. You managed to trip over a table and give yourself one. You wouldn’t be Jess my daughter without having a couple of bruises because you are always on the go and tripping over. I think it’s worse because of the fact your always on the go.

Your eating is still amazing we still get to find something which you do not eat which is amazing. You have tried a huge range of foods even including curry and fajitas you even have tried jalapeños and loved them which was shocking because I didn’t think you would like them. They burnt your mouth a little bit but not too much which is always a bonus. You usually drink a little bit of milk usually a cup before bed. It seems to be something which you really enjoy doing before doing bedtime.

Talking of sleep you go to bed between 7-8pm and then wake up at 5.45 so that we can make the train in the morning. However you have actually stopped going to sleep on the train but you actually have a nap at nusury and sometimes that can be a couple of hours which is always a bonus because it does mean that you are awake when it comes to the trip home which is great because it means we can have a little bit of time when we are travelling.

Talking is an element which you seem to have improved a lot now we can have a whole conversation with you. You do seem to be improving your vocabulary which is always great. Singing is another element which you are always trying to sing wind the bobbin up, the wheels on the bus and baa baa black sheep.

I can’t believe you are now 2 Jess where did the time go. Next time I write one of these you are going to be 3 which scares me you are growing up way to fast please can you slow down . I think we are going to have a lot of fun while you are 2 I can’t wait to see what adventures we are going to get up to.

5 Beauty Mummy Summer Essentials

A few weeks ago now I did a post which was my toddler summer essentials post which went down pretty well thank you so much because your support means everything to me. Sometimes I do feel like nobody is reading my blog but so many of you at the moment have been sharing my post which is making me feel like I have my own little community so thank you so much  So today I have decided that I am going to share with you 5 of my beauty essentials to survive the rest of the summer.

The first product is one which you may not class as a beauty essential but it kind of fits in this catergory and that is a antibacterial hand gel this one is actually designed for kids and smells like strawberries which makes me just want to use the product even more. With having a little one it means that your hands always become messy and horrible because they like to pass you things like half eaten food and all sorts of other rubbish. Sometimes I don’t have wet wipes to hand so I use the hand gel I even have Jess using it and due to the fact it smells nice she is constantly wanting to use it. I do not have one brand which I love more than another I think currently I have 3 open and on the go all with fruity scents. I can not leave the house without some of this gel it is so handy all year long not just for the summer when you seem to eat outside more.

The next product which is an essential to me is a body spray because of the fact that when it is warmer you seem to sweat more and you always want to smell your best I find myself reaching for a body spray. The reason behind this is because I can reapply this more often than I would a perfume and it is one which can be stored in your handbag pretty easy and in some cases can cool you down a little bit. I love been able to change the scent that I am wearing throught the day which is not something which you can do if you are wearing perfume. I am loving this one which I picked up in superdrug for £3 a while ago but I do have my eyes on a couple of lush ones which I might have to get in the future.

Talking of Lush it could not be a favouites/essentials without one of their products now could it however, one of the products which I love in the summer is part of their Christmas collection and that means I have to stash it half of the year. Mr Standman is a dusting powder which means that it is a more natural version of talc powder and this one actually shares it’s scent with twilight which for me is amazing I think this is fast becoming one of my favourite scents. I use this powder to help with chub rub and it actually works it also helps take the excess oil off when you have used a body lotion it means that is is less sticky and you can put your clothes on straight away. This is great if you are a busy person like me and need to get ready quickly a bottle of this stuff lasts a long time so is well worth the money. I would keep an eye out for it when it comes out this year in fact I may do a full review closer to the time.

I find that I need something to help my make up stay on all day and I have found that if I use a couple of sprays of the Urban Decay stay all night setting spray my make up does not melt of my face as quick is a bonus when you are applying it for over 12 hours. I love how long a small bottle lasts I think I have had this one way over a year and it is only just starting to run out which makes me sad because I am going to have to repurchase this very soon. I have found that it makes my base stay on a lot longer when usually it would have been looking horrible and like it needed to be removed. Unfortunately this is not the cheapest but because it is effective it does mean I am more likely to repurchase.

The final item which is a must have for me is dry shampoo as some of you may know I only wash my hair around once a week which means that once maybe twice a week I need to use dry shampoo. This is when it is starting to look a little bit greasy and I do not have time to wash my hair.  At the moment I am using the the Pixie Lott bapsite dry shampoo however, this is not my favoutite scent I do prefer the tropical one but I am just using up some which I have in my collection before I repurchase this one. If you rub it in a little bit you do not get the white streaks you do with other dry shampoos which is amazing when you need to be out the door about 5 mins ago.

What are your beauty summer essentials even if you are not a busy mummy?

Bookworm- The Rise and Fall Of A Yummy Mummy- Review

Reading is something which has been a huge passion of mine for a long time however, since going to university the first time and been given a lot of reading to reading for pleasure is not something which I have done a lot. I don’t think there are many parents who manage to read a lot I think this book is actually one of the first which I have finished this year which I know is shocking seen as it is August usually I would have read around 20 by now.

I decided to read this book which is the rise and fall of a yummy mummy because I wanted something which I thought would be super easy to read and this seemed like it could be one of those books which is a constant page turner

The book’s blurb is the following

For every mum who has trodden on one plastic brick too many, or looked at her phone instead of lovingly recording her little one’s every moment, or poured a large wine because it’s four o’clock on Friday. If you’ve ever shared a post from the Unmumsy Mum or giggled at Hurrah for Gin, this book is for you.

Amy Crane is in crisis. Six months after the birth of her baby, Amy still looks pregnant and can’t remember the last time she had a wax, or an orgasm. Motherhood is stirring up disturbing questions about her own childhood. And she suspects her boyfriend is cheating. Enter Alice, yummy mummy superior, on a mission to transform Amy’s body, and love life. As Amy swaps breast pads for Botox and climbs out of a vortex of self-doubt, her libido awakens from its long nap and things get rather more complicated …
A wonderfully well-written, funny and sharp novel about the trials of playing hip happy families and the contradictions at the heart of modern motherhood.

My thoughts

The book was very similar to others which I have read in the past it has a very typical ending which I could see from the middle of the book which really almost annoyed me because I like to be surprised by a book which has a twist which this one did not. I also found the main character Amy really annoying as well towards then end because she always need to have someone tell her she was good enough however, it is almost reassuring that characters do need to be told this and not all the time life has a happy ending because for sure we know this is not always the truth. Even people in books have bad days, ,weeks, and months which I found comforting for some reason maybe because I know what it is like to have one of these as well.  I found the book a page turner and did manage to finish it pretty quickly however, it is not one which I can see myself rereading but Polly Williams is an author I would look at purchasing her work again as I did enjoy this book.

Overall I would recommend it should you want a page turner book maybe for reading around the pool but you do not want a typical chick flick.

Have you read this book if so what did you think?

Living Arrow #3 – Final Week Of Freedom

I really can’t believe that my Christmas holiday’s have finally come to an end tomorrows sees me back at university since the 9th December which seems like forever I have only been back three times since then for exams and a course. This weekend has felt like the last week of freedom and we have had a busy week of decluttering but also we have had so much fun been together all week.

This picture sums up our week very very cheeky with lots of climbing and playing with toys, We have managed to play with a lot of the toys which she was lucky to recieve for Christmas because she went away quickly after it means she has hardly played with them. This meant she had nearly forgot about them so was so super excited to play with them again. We even took some of her old toys to the charity shop which she has outgrown and saved some like this rubber ring for if there ever is baby number 2.

If you have not realised by now Jess really loves to have her picture taken so when she decided that she would try her Grandad’s hat on she had to adjust it so that she looked her best for when a photograph was taken. I love that it is so easy to get photographs of Jess because it is going to be a lot easier with look back that the changes and all the progress she has made this year. I love how this shows her cheeky streak which she currently has going on.

The final picture I am going to share with you this week is one which was only taken because it is a momentous occasion. This was Jess having her very first subway this is a place which I like to eat at if looking for a quick healthy lunch. As you may noticed yes Jess does open her sandwich up and eat the contents then the bread. I can’t believe that she is now old enough to have one where has my little girl gone can you please bring her back I don’t like having a grown toddler. This week marked her turning 16 months which is crazy when it doesn’t seem long since she was born.

What have you been up to this week?

Reasons Why I Am Rocking Motherhood

Motherhood is something which people make look super easy but I can tell you from my own experience sometimes this is not the case. If you are like me sometimes you will feel super guilty for doing certain things like currently, I feel guilty because I have not spent a lot of time with Jess recently because I have been revising for my exams.  I also feel like I may miss some of the milestones which she is the achievement because of uni but I know in the long run it is for the best. I also feel like I do not celebrate enough of the amazing achievements which we have together.  I was tagged by Katie from livinglifeourway to post 10 reasons why I am rocking motherhood.

  • I feel like I am constantly winging it when it comes to parenting I have never actually read a book on it at all. I am always following my own instincts and I seem to be doing pretty good at the moment because Jess is still alive.
  • I spend more money on Jess than I do on myself this girl has a way better wardrobe than me and I would not have it any other way because she really is my princess.
  • I love cuddles of Jess if I have any worries she seems to be able to take them away with just one simple cuddle and she does not know how much it actually means to me.
  • I make sure that I have one day a week usually on a weekend were I do not do any work till Jess is in bed then it means that she does not always think that I am working either on my blog or university work.
  • There is nothing I would not do for Jess to keep her healthy, happy and safe
  • I can speak Jess because she is now trying to talk more and more, however, I am sure that some people can not understand what she is saying but Mummy knows what she means I can translate and then tell you what she is trying to say.
  • I actually love Paw Patrol and I feel like I could watch this without Jess at least this is better than Peppa Pig which I used to love but can not stand anymore.
  • I now can not eat a meal without Jess trying to eat something off my plate but this amazes me because she will try and steal fruit and I know some children will not try fruit or vegetables.
  • I don’t think that baths have ever been so fun sometimes we even treat Jess to a lush bath and when she gets one of them her face is just amazing. This makes me so happy I know she is super excited and loves having a treat when she has been a good girl.
  • I can’t believe how I have mastered commuting an hour each way every single day and we actually do it on the train. Most people hate commuting but can you imagine it with a one-year-old well this is what I do.

I tag the following awesome mamas to take part in this challenge too:

What We Did In November

Hi Guys

I know is has been a couple of months since I last did one of these and that is due to the fact that I am so busy I forget that it is the end of a month when I remember I feel like it is too late to upload and post them. Before we get started in sharing what we have done this month we have an exciting announcement tomorrow we will be starting Blogmas however this is not like a normal one due to having two Christmas’s we are going all the way until New Years Day.

The start of this month feels like an age ago, however, it saw Jess get her first pair of shoes well actually she managed to get two a pair of boots and a pair of patent black shoes they are amazing they actually light up. When we tried to get her feet measured the first time she was having none of it she scrunched her feet up and cried. We needed to go shopping else were in town this means she had time to have a nap and then on the way back she played ball and got shoes. Jess at once stage did not like anything on her feet not even socks and now she doesn’t like taking them off she even wears slippers at Nanny’s house and if she is lucky she may get some for Christmas for our house.

Also at the start of the month,it was Bonfire night the first year we though Jess may enjoy the bright flashes because last year she was so small and hated the bangs. We took her to a local organised display which was so nice even though it had started to rain and was cold as a result of this Jess managed to get way to cosy in her pram and fell asleep missing the whole display maybe next year she will manage to see some. At least me and Joe really enjoyed it even if the hot chocolate after was very disappointing.

During the week Jess is in nursery 5 days due to the fact that we are either at university or working which means that we try and do something with her every single weekend because we both feel like it is the only time we actually get to spend with her. As she wants to go to bed when we get in from nursery during the week because she is so tired.

The next weekend we had real pants weather which meant we needed to do something indoors, however, my parents offered to look after Jess which meant that me and Joe could have some us time. We took this opportunity and went to see Dr Strnge which is the latest Marvel film as you may know we are both huge fans. I feel like the film was different for Marvel, however, we have all just become to expect the avengers from them and this was not it kept been very trippy and made you think about what you was actually watching.  There is going to be a sequel so it will be interesting to see how they do it. We do haver to wait a while for the next Marvel film, however, Star Wars is out very soon and we have tickets for the first day. I have not told Joe yet so if your reading it surprise.

During the week I had time off University for reading week which meant I was not taking Jess to nursery resulting in us having some fun time together just chilling, We also managed to meet up with one of my best friends in Costa were Jess developed a love for hot chocolate. However, with it begin Children in Need nursery had two dress up day’s and this is something Jess loves so for one of the days my Mum came with us and we went shopping while she was there which resulted in me getting most of my secret Santa presents done we managed to have some lunch at Zizzi’s upgrade my phone and then pick Jess up. We had one more surprise that day though as Joe had finished work and he was very close by he decided to come and met us and Jess had her first baby chococino you should have seen the mess which was created all I can say is at least she enjoyed it.

Due to the fact that one set of Jess’s grandparents only get to see her every 6 weeks or so we had to go and visit them the following weekend. This time was different as we actually had plans and went on a nice family outting to Birmingham Christmas Market, however. it was super busy in the bullring and some people in the party couldn’t keep with the pace we ended up splitting up and meeting  again at a set time. That day was not good for my bank balance as I went a little bit crazy in Nars and Victoria’s Secret but a girl has to treat herself after I had two panic attacks that day which was not nice at all one I have no clue why it occured.  Later that night Joe had to leave which was not nice I as you can imagine there were plenty of tears knowing I would not see him for two whole weeks and I had to spend another day with his parents alone scary for someone who only met them a year ago after having their grandchild.

On Sunday the weather was not very nice either but we had to go out of the house without a car sear it meant we could not go very far.  We decided that we would take a walk into the town centre which leads to Jess being spoilt I think she had around £60 spent on her and we only went to get out the house. I may do a haul showing you what she got during Blogmas because I have not had time to do this yet.  All I can say is this girl now has a way more stylish wardrobe than her Mummy.

This weekend there was a food and drink festival in a nearby town which I had seen advertised and mentioned to my Mum. Last week we had barely seen each other due to work and uni so it was nice to spend some time with her something I feel like we do not do enough anymore we used to spend so much time.  We had fun walking around and trying some of the samples from the stalls which lead to us purchasing a few bits for Christmas it was nice to have a few hours with my Mum and we even managed to go out for lunch. Jess stayed at home with Grandad due to the fact that she is full of cold I had only just started feeling better from it and we didn’t want to drag her out.

We have a few plans already made for December we have a quiz, cinema trip, weekend away and then two Christmas’s so next month is looking very exciting.

What have you been up to this month?

WaterWipes Review

Hi Guys

When I was in hospital with Jess I used cotton wool and water when she had her nappy changed however, this soon changed when she came home and used baby wipes we have used a range of different brands so expensive and some budget ones. Jess does not have sensitive skin so this has allowed us to do this we have not found the ones which our favourites yet.

Back in September time one of my lovely blogger friends Emily told me to contact WaterWipes as they were working with bloggers. These wipes are like nothing we have tried previously they are 99.9% water which means that they are super wet which is great when you have a baby like Jess would can have food around her mouth and can be hard to remove with baby wipes. These do the job no problem and even remove dirty bums so quickly without the need to use multiple wipes like other brands sometime do.

These wipes are going to be something which we will keep an eye out for in the future because they are so good even my mum agrees with me and she has used plenty of baby wipes in her time. These would be amazing for babies with sensitive skin I have even used them occasionally to remove makeup off my own face.

12 pack of these can be purchased on Amazon for as little as £18 which makes them only slightly more expensive than likes of Huggies and Johnsons. These may become a staple in our changing bag now more so as Jess gets into more mess as she explores.

Have you tried WaterWipes if so what do you think?
