SENSSE Silicone Facial Cleansing Brush And Exfoliator

As some of you may know I have a Magnitone Cleansing I think it is the Lucid one I have have been using it for a couple of years, however, one of the things which annoy me about the brush is that I have to change the heads and they are around £6 per head. They need changing every couple of months as well. Recently I was contacted as asked if I would like to review the SenseSiliconee Facial Cleansing Brush and Exfoliator.

As soon as it arrived I was shocked it comes in the most gorgeous packaging it reminded me of when you purchase a new Apple product and you get the satisfaction of unboxing it. With this product, you get the facial brush, a USB charger and a bag where you can store the brush when it is not in use. You do not get the plug for the USB but this is not a problem I have so many of them.

The brush as the name suggests is made of silicone which means that it is antibacterial and antifungal this means that there are no changing heads like with other cleansing brushes which are a bonus. This brush is actually great for all skin types at the moment my skin is a little bit more sensitive this could be due to the amount of sun that it has been getting and I now it is not used to it.

The device flashes when it has a full charge which lets you know when it needs to be taken off charge which is helpful for me because I always forget to take things of charge. On the front of the device, you can turn the brush to a more intend setting which for me is something I always tend to do because I like a deeper clean. There are 6 speeds which you can use and you can change them depending on where you are using it. If that makes sense, for example, I use a higher intensity on my t zone than I do on my cheeks. I think this is because my skin is less sensitive or it seems to be. I have noticed that after the period of time where your skin breaks out because you have changed your skincare that my skin actually is clearer this could be for a number of reasons however I am putting it down to cleansing my face better than I have put down to this clever device. I have noticed I break out a lot less and some of the pores which I could see clogging no longer do look as clogged.

I don’t have to put any product on the brush head unlike with then magnitude I just use warm water thinks the same when I am done and want to.clean the brush after use.  The device notifies you after 15 seconds allowing you to know that it is time to move on to the next section of your face. On the back of the brush is the anti-ageing element which is harder you are meant to use this on areas where fine lines will appear and on your neck. It is supposed to reduce the fine lines by plumping the skin, however, this is over a period of time so I couldn’t tell you yet if this element of the brush works,

Another element which I really like is that after 3 minutes of not using the device it goes to sleep which is great because we have all forgotten to turn something like a toothbrush off and then come back next day to use it and it is dead so thanks to this element this can not occur.  Another element which in love is the device is waterproof which means you use it in the shower like I do every single morning. This knows you do not forget to do it and also it doesn’t take a long time to do which for me is a bonus as a busy mum.

The facial brush is £90 however currently is on offer on Amazon for £49.99. The outlay is only once as you do not have to purchase any extras for the device it is all included in the box when the device arrives. I am giving one lucky winner the chance to win their own facial brush For your chance to win enter below.

Bakerdays Valentine’s Letterbox Cake Review + Giveaway

Recently I was contacted by the lovely people at Bakerdays asking if I wanted to review their Valentines day Review. If you know me I am not one to say no to trying food let alone cake this is just a dream. If you have not heard of the baker days company they are a letterbox cake which means you can get a cake in the post which always one of my favourite types of mail.

I really love the idea of getting cake or been able to send it in the post because of the fact that it can be a pain in the bum if the person you are sending it to is not in because nobody enjoys the red card of doom. I should know because I seem to get a hell of a lot of them at the moment because I am never in when the postman is in. I can vouch that they do come through the letterbox because this is something which I came home to last week.

Once the cake came I opened the box which contented a beautiful card as well as a plain but cute tin which is housing the cake and then a tiny pack of lovehearts which I gave to Joe because they remind me of heartburn. The reason behind this was the fact that I was told to consume them to make it go away when I was having Jess. I think they tin would be great to store bits and bobs in which is something which I think I will end up doing even if it is only like bobbles because I am always losing them which is never fun. I love the additional touches which the company have done

I am sure that if I did not have to take pictures of this cake for this review I am sure that Joe would have managed to eat most of the cake as soon as I received it. I was asked to review a 5″ cake which serves between three to four which would be perfect to share with each other look you always have to see the benefits of sharing. I choose the gaming cake because if any of you know my other half you will know that he is obbessed with gaming we joke he couldn’t ever cheat on me because he wouldn’t have time as that takes up the rest of it when he isn’t with me. I knew that this cake would go down a treat and get me in the good books.

Bakerdays have a huge selection of valentines day cakes most which can be personalised to have your name or your other halves. They also do a range of flavours, however, I choose just Vanilla. When I opened the box I couldn’t believe how vibrant the icing is with the colours for some reason this really shocked me. The cake is housed in a plastic bag which comes with instructions which tell you how to remove the cake without it becoming broken.

One critisim for the company would be that I thought the cake was slighly dry this may just be me and my tastes however I think I would like it to have been a bit more moist this could be due to the lack of jam.  I understand this could have be due to the fact the company state that these cakes can last up to 2 to 3 weeks. These cakes do have a number of E numbers in which could be something to be aware of if this bothers you maybe if you plan on sharing with little fingers.

Overall £14.99 for this size the cake is a little on the pricey side when compared to a cake in a shop more so when this can only be divided into four slices. On the plus side though it is a lot cheaper than purchasng other valentine’s gifts such as flowers and could be sent for either a guy or girl. The cake to me was not the best I have ever consumed but for me this is more of a novelty product and I cannot fault the concept at all rather than something I would consume all the time.

I really like the idea of cake by post and I think most people would too! Not just for Valentine’s Day, but also for other occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, new babies, Easter etc. I think it is fantastic that you can choose a variety of cakes, personalise them, then have them at your door within a day or so. These cakes therefore make a great gift and I seriously doubt that anyone would complain about receiving a nicely decorated cake directly to their door when they weren’t expecting it. I’ll definitely consider getting another Bakerdays cake for some occasion in the near future. Even more so for when we have occasions and we can not make them due to other commitments I am sure people would not mind a cake been delivered.
The lovely people at BakerDays have actually allowed me to let one of you lucky ones recieved one of their 5″ cakes in any design.I have to state that this compertiion is only open for the UK sorry.

Kidloland – Educational App Review + Giveaway

Hi Guys

Today I am going to share an app with you which helps your child learn. Jess has always been amazed by technology such as remote controls, laptops, mobile phones and Ipads I put this down to the fact that she see other people using them all the time. So when I was contacted by the lovely people at Kidloland to review there app I jumped at the chance.

Kidloland is an app which is available on IOS or Andriod depending which devices you have it is aimed at the under 5’s to help them learn. Jess has started talking a little bit well you can understand her she says Da Da and hello and occasionally Ma Ma. I thought that now may be a good time to introduce her to colours, shapes, alphabet and also songs as this is something which she will learn when she goes to nursery I would imagine.

The first thing I noticed when I downloaded the app was how bright and colourful it is. This is very handy for me because it means that it actually grabs Jess’s attention and can keep it for a short while due to her age she doesn’t have a very long attention span. One thing which I can say I love about the app is the fact that it is so easy to use even Jess who is only nearly one can change the song if she wants or click on something else. It is so easy to use you can tell the app has been well designed and targeted at that age group due to the fact that it is a product which works so well.

Jess has shown an interest in the songs due to the fact that they move and it is like watching something on youtube. She loves the ABC and stories as well I have been known to put this on the side while she is drifting off for a nap during the day so it reads her a story just like you would do at bedtime.

There is also things to do on the app for bigger children for example there is games and activities I am sure those will be good as she grows and when she wants to start playing more. It pleases me that the app does so many different age ranges it will grow with her from been a nearly one year old to till she is around 5 and starting school. I can imagine this app when she is a little bit bigger been very good for travelling due to the fact it saves you taking a lot of story books with you and also it gives your child something to keep them entertained should you have a long delay. This is something we will be using on our hour commute to nursery when she is starting to get a little bit grumpy and it doesn’t mean taking anything extra as I would have my Ipad on me anyway.
The lovely people at Kidloand have given me the opportunity to trail out this app however all my views are my own, They also have give me 3 months free subscription to the app for 5 people to giveaway . The giveaway will close on the 22nd September and the winners will be contacted shortly after.

#ScarsUncovered With Bio-Oil Plus Giveaway

Hi Guys

Today I have a different kind of post for you it is personal one it also includes a giveaway at the end if you keep on reading. During my pregnancy with Jess my body obviously changed shape a fair bit but due to the fact that I one did not know I was pregnant could not apply all the oils and lotions to my bump which you should if you want to avoid stretchmarks. Also because of the fact that it was only around the last month which I gained the weight rapidly I gain multiple stretchmarks. It was not only stretchmarks which I gain due to the fact that I had a c section it means that I also have this scar as well to deal with. 1 in 3 women are actually affected by scarring today I am going to share my stories about scarring.

I don’t just have stretchmarks on my stomach I have them on the top of my thighs as well as this is an area where I managed to gain weight as well. I am not going to share a picture with you because my stretchmarks are not something which I am 100% confident with yet. It seems that 60% of women also feel like they have to hide there scars usually under clothing. This is something which I do and i don’t plan on wearing any crop tops any time soon however I have reduced the viability of my stretchmarks and they are almost white/silver and blended in with my skin.

I will paint a picture though for you they remind me of tiger stripes and the way I see it now instead of something which I should be ashamed about.  I see it as the fact that I gained my strips for carrying my beautiful baby girl and it is something I have achieved and this is a reward that way rather than something which is negative which is how I first saw it.

Just so you know this girl was totally worth at the scars which I have gained in order to have an amazing beautiful healthy baby girl.

According to the midwife in the hospital I have a neat csection scar. I originally struggled with my scare because it meant that I had to wear legging and shorts higher because otherwise it would rub on my scar and be uncomfortable. I still have not worn jeans yet 10 months on. I still can’t look at myself in the mirror because of the fact that I have not full managed to accept that I have a huge scar and stretchmarks but I am getting there due to bio-oil fading my stretchmarks and scar.

It is recommended that if you use Bio-oil in during pregnancy that you apply it to the areas which are more prone to stretchmarks so your bump and thighs twice a day.Even if you are not pregnant like me you can still use bio-oil I have noticed that it has helped my scars look less visable and I have been using it for at least 3 months like it is recommend I apply it after my morning shower and then also on a night before I go to sleep. I recently found out that you can use bio-oil on the face so this could help people who have ache scarring to see if this fades.

Bio-Oil have done a campaign which is called #scarsuncovered which is to make people talk about their scars and not be afraid of it. It should be something which we have conversations about it should not be taboo. They have created this lovely video which is inserted above they have also allowed me to give away one bottle of their 60ml product to three of your lovelies which retails for £8.95 and is available from Boots,Superdrug,Tesco,Primark,Amazon and other Pharmacies nationwide.
a Rafflecopter giveaway

Good Luck Lovelies this competition will end on the 8th August all winners will be contacted by the 10th August. The prizes were supplied via bio-oil for me to giveaway to you.
