Project Polish 2020- Update 3

Today I am going to be sharing with you my third update for project polish. If you do not know what project polish is. It is a challenge where you try and use up as many nail polishes in a year. I have started with 6 and when I finish a shade I roll a new one into the project. If you have bit seen any of my updates before here is a link to the intro, update 1 and update 2. I am happy with the progress which I am making within this project. There are some shades which I have not touched this month again. Maybe I should have chosen better shades ones which I would be more willing to reach for. Anyway on to the update for this month.

First, we have the Essie in Bikini So Teeny. Again this is a shade which I have not used at all this month I am unsure why it is that. Maybe it is because I want more bright colour with everything which is going on right now. I think I am going to make a point of trying to use this in the next month. If I do not set this as a goal I know what will happen this shade will not get used for months. It will still be in the project at the end of the year still been untouched. This is a shade which I used to love and have not reached for in a couple of months now.

The other shade which I have not touched this month will come as no surprise. It is the Barry M Glitter in Rose Quartz. This is one which I mainly only use on my ring finger anyway so it is going to take a while to use up. I may have used it once this month for this kind of manicure. I have rolled in some shade which I think this polish would work well with so maybe this month I will use it. This is going to be a goal of mine to use this at least once this month. Glitter is something which I do reach for more in the summer months. So maybe this will be time for this polish to shine.

A shade which I have made slight progress on this month is the Maybelline Colour show in Cool Blue. I only used this once but this was my goal this month I want to try and get closer to using it up. I really do like the formulae of these polishes they do seem to last a while on the nails without chipping. There is around one or two applications left knowing how these Maybelline polishes go.  For this reason, I am going to make my third goal to try and finish this polish up this month. This may be unrealistic but I also like a goal which is going to be a bit of a challenge.

Last month I added the Essie in Full Steamahead it was completely full the last update. As you can see I have used about 1/4 of the polish this is one which I have found really easy to wear. It lasts around 4/5 days before there is serious chipping which is a huge bonus. This is a great spring-summer shade which is so easy to wear. I think that this is a shade which I will be able to smash through. I am going to continue to use this one but not set a goal on it. The Essie formulae and everything about this shade to be honest.

I actually finished up two polishes  the first was the Essie Mini in Jump in My Jumpsuit. I have actually found another mini of this in my collection instead of using this. Instead I have rolled in another shade which is great for spring-summer. It is another mini this time from Ciate in Pepperminty. This is a really nice bluey greeny shade one which I can see been on my nails during spring. I have checked the formulae on this and was impressed with it I seem to remember it lasted well. This shade has just gone down the side on the bottle so it is pretty full. This is one which I am looking forward to getting some more use out of.

The other shade which I managed to finish this month was the Maybelline Colour Show in Urban Turquoise. This is a shade which I have loved to use I am kind of sad to see this one come to an end. I have decided to replace it with a Kelly Brook nail polish which I got from New Look a while ago. It is almost a raspberry pink shade, I think this is a brand new bottle when I have rolled this in. I have since used this once and it chipped within a couple of days without a topcoat. This is one which I may end up having to use a topcoat with it is a shade which hopefully I am going get a lot of use out of.

So to recap my goals for the month of April are to use both Bikini So Teeny and Rose Quartz at least once. I also want to attempt to finish Cool Blue of as well if this is possible. I may have one new shade in my project next month if I am lucky. It is nice to see that now I have some new shade in my project compared to the start who knows I might end up finishing 12 shades this year. I have already completed 3.

If you are doing this project let me know how you are getting on. I must admit I am loving finding shades which I might not normally use.
