Today I am going to be sharing with you another weekly meal plan. Of course we are now in the third national lockdown. This means that meal planning is more important because we are trying to reduce the trips to the shops. This week we have managed to have a mix of veggie meals and meat meals. I think there is only one meal which is classed as not under 500 calories. I am not on a diet or calorie counting at the moment I am just very aware of what I am consuming. This is because I am actually moving less now I don’t have the school runs even though I am training my in my home gym. Anyway on to the meals which we are going to be making this week.
Saturday- Tex Mex meatballs and Spicy Rice.
This is a meal which we was supposed to have last week
however I forgot to order the Turkey mince. We had lasagne for two meals because this made enough for two evening meals. So this was not a problem.
Sunday- Moroccan Spice Salmon and Jacket Potato. This is a recipe from a pinch of nom fish is something which we all love to consume. I am going to do the roasted vegetables which it suggests as well as serving it with a jacket potato. This is to make sure that the meal is enough fingers crossed this is not too spicy for Troy.
Monday- Vegetable Tagine, again this is going to be meat free Monday. Tagine is not something which I have made in the past and I don’t think I have ever had it either. During this lockdown I am very interested in making meals which I have not made. For sure I am interested to see what the family think of this meal.
Tuesday- Chicken, Bacon and Potato Stew, since the weather is cold at the moment this seems a great meal. It should be one which is very comforting which is something which I need at the moment. I wouldn’t have every thought about putting these flavours together. This is one which I am looking forward to trying however. I did see these on one of the meal plans last week.
Wednesday- Veggie Burgers with Sweet Potato Rosti and a Side Salad. This is another pinch of nom recipe. I think it is one which we have made before. I thought we would make these as a treat. Sometimes I do actually prefer the veggie burgers to normal burgers they have more flavour usually.
Thursday- Sausage, Leek and Mash Pie. I have some sausages in the freezer and some leeks which could do with been used up so this pie sounds a great meal to make. I think we are going to be serving this with some mixed veg in order to get some more veg into the meal.
Friday- Thai Fried Prawn and Pineapple Rice. I thought this could be a great fakeaway instead of ordering in making our own. This is one which everyone could love or it could be one which we will not end up making again. This is the beauty of trying new recipes only time will tell.
