Today I am going to be sharing with you the meals which had this week. A lot of them are actually rolled over from last week. We ended up having a takeaway one night because Joe was home later. However, because he was going away it actually meant that Jess and I had pizza to use up. I think we ended up having it for 2 more nights to use it up. For sure that was a nice half term treat for Jess. This meant last week’s meal plan when out of the window so I have rolled a lot of it over.
Saturday- Chicken Kievs and Salad, this is the first one which got rolled over. Such a simple and easy to make meal which of course, is what you sometimes need. I think we was actually playing animal crossing while this was cooking something we have got back into recently. I prefer making my own chicken kievs as there is a lot more sauce than the shop bought ones.
Sunday- Nando’s Chicken Pasta Bake, this again got rolled over. It was a meal which I needed to make as the chicken was getting close to date. Currently my freezer is pretty full of loads of left overs which we are going to consume while Joe is away so I could not freeze this. For sure it is something which I would make again even if I did make it pretty spicy.
Monday- Leftovers, the chicken pasta bakes serves 4 so we are going to have the remaining bit for tea on Monday. There is more than enough left to be able to do this. Cooking once and eating twice is something which I love trying to do if it is possible.
Tuesday- Veggie Burgers, we have some veggie burgers which need to be used. These ate the meatless farm veggie burgers. They were on shopimum and I picked them up after trying the mince and really enjoying them. For sure I am looking forward to this meal as well. We are going to get some fresh salad delivered which is going to go great with this. I am also going to make some home made chips as well to go with it.
Wednesday- Sausage, Jacket Potato and Beans. Again I am opting for a simple meal but it is one Jess will eat easy. I have some sausages which need using and this will make a good meal for them to be used up in. Sausages like this are not something we have often so it will be nice for a change to have a meal like this.
Thursday- Sausage Chilli, this is the ultimate winter food. We have not had a chilli in a long time and this is something which I really fancy. I think this is a meal which we are going to have with some rice. Fingers crossed I do not make it too spicy this time because then it will mean that Troy will be able to have some of it.
Friday- Unsure, I have not thought fully about it however, I may take out some of the Mushy Pea Curry which we have in the freezer. This will be served with homemade chips if this is what I choose to do. It is either that or Spag Bol.
