Today I am going to be sharing with you another weekly meal plan. This week again is a cheap week we are using things out of the freezer. The reason is we have not been shopping we wanted to get things used up and also save some money. We have spent a bit doing the nursery this month. So on to the meals which we have consumed this week.
Monday- Slow Cooker Chilli and Rice, this is a meal which we got from Katy. This is a great one because I am unsure what we are going to be doing as it is a bank holiday. I know this is a meal which Jess is going to happily consume. This is an easy to make meal and I do not have to do anything once it is in the slow cooker. I am looking forward to this meal.
Tuesday- Chicken Bacon and Leek, Jackets and Mixed Veg. This is a meal which we picked up a while ago reduce in Asda. This is a chicken and bacon meal which I love all you need to do is stick it in the oven. We still have some jacket potatoes. Of course, this is going to be served with our trusty mixed veg.
Wednesday- Vegetable Curry and Rice. Again this is a meal which I made a long time ago and have had in the freezer. Veg curry is not something which I would usually go for however, I am trying to eat a bit healthier and of course, this is going to be used up. We are going to have this with rice and maybe some nan bread depending. I am looking forward to seeing if Joe enjoys this meal.
Thursday- Ham and Mushroom Pasta Bake, this is a meal which we had not very long ago. I will be sharing the recipe very soon as it is one which we loved. We managed to make way to much so we decided that we were going to use the leftovers for tonight’s meal. I am unsure we may even splash the boat out and have garlic bread as well.
Friday- Feta and Courgette Burgers, Chips and Spaghetti. These burgers again have been in the freezer way too long. I thought that now seemed a good time to get them out and enjoy them. Again this is a meal which cooked when Joe was away. I am always interested to see how he finds some of the meals. We are going to serve this with homemade chips and spaghetti hoops. I am loving them recently.
Sat- Prawn Stirfry, it seems like a lifetime ago since we last had a stirfry. Recently this is something which I have been fancying. We actually have some prawns in the freezer so I have decided to use the prawns and make a stirfry. Chicken is what we would usually have however, I am still struggling to cook chicken while pregnant.
Sun- Crispy Haddock and Homemade wedges, we have a ton of haddock in the freezer as well which we must have purchased reduced. We have decided that we are going to use some of this. I did manage to find a recipe which is going to make the crispy haddock. I am loving trying some new recipes and I am sure this is going to be a meal which Jess will actually enjoy. Of course, it is a healthier alternative to the fish and chips from the takeaway which is another thing which I have been fancying a lot recently. I am sure this meal is to be as good and of course, a fraction of the price.
