Today I am going to share with you this week’s meal plan. When I saw all of the meals written down this week it does look like we are having a proper fakeaway week. I promise this was not something which I was attempting to do. However, I can not complain. To be honest comfort food is something which I am still wanting. Of course, like most people, I am struggling with the balance of homeschooling, work, and everything else which I am trying to do at the moment. I think most of these meals were from slimming world accounts on Instagram. One day I am going to share some of my favourite Instagram slimming world accounts in a post I think. Anyway on to the meal which we are going to be consuming this week.
Saturday- Hunters Chicken Lasagne, this is a meal which we are looking forward to. Hunters chicken is something which I love as a meal and would often order in a restaurant when they are allowed to open again. Lasagne is something else we adore so why not combine the two. For sure this is a meal which we are all looking forward to consuming. I think we have actually made this before it is a pinch of nom recipe it is the newest meal planner.
Sunday- Chicken Katsu Curry and Rice. This is one of my favourite meals to order from Wagamama’s. It has been nearly a year since we went now. I really fancied this meal so I thought that I would have to make this meal. Let’s face it is going to be a while until we can go eat out again. This is another pinch of nom recipe we made before and this is one which we all loved as well.
Monday-Mexican Veggie Pasta Bake. This is one which I am going to be made with meatfree mince. This is a meal which we did not have last week. This was because of the fact that we ended up having the cheeseburger pasta for two nights. There were so many leftovers. So of course I had to roll this over to this week. This is one that we are going to have this week even if we end up rolling another meal over to next week.
Tuesday- Loaded Fries, these are also a veggie meal. I am loving if possible to have a couple of these a week at the moment. This was one that I saw on shrinking Jess. There was something about it that makes me want to make it. Loaded fries are not something which I have had for a long time. Fingers crossed this is a meal that Troy and Jess both enjoy as well. This would be a meal which would be great if you were having a movie night or something similar.
Wednesday- Chicken Kiev, Jacket Potato and Beans. This is a meal which Joe said that he fancied so I decided to add it to the meal plan. This is something which we have not had in the longest time. I prefer making these myself rather than purchasing them in the shops. There is lot more filling in them. This is going to be such an easy meal to make too. This is going to be such a nice comfort meal for sure.
Thursday- Fake Nando’s + Spicy Rice. This is another meal that Joe said he fancied this week. I asked for his opinion a couple of times this week while making the meal plan. Nando’s isn’t somewhere we usually go even when the restaurants are open. Since he stated this he a meal that he fancied I decided to find a recipe and add it to the meal plan. I am going to be doing this with corn on the cob because this is one of the best parts of Nandos for sure.
Friday- Double Cheeseburger and Fries. This is something which I saw on Instagram in the last week. It looked like a super-naughty double cheeseburger however it wasn’t too bad for you. I showed it to Joe and this is when he saw it he demanded I added it to the meal plan. It looked like a burger which you may get at 5 guys which is a place that I think is slightly overrated if I am been honest. We do not live close enough to get one even if we wanted to.
