Today I am back with another weekly meal plan. This one has a bit of comfort food in because I think we are all needing a little bit of self care at the moment. We have been moved into tier two of the lockdown system. Which means we can only go out for food as a household. So instead we have decided to put some nice yummy meals on the menu at home instead. Plus some of them are new meals which we have not made before, However they are similar to ones which you may order in a restaurant.
Saturday- Spaghetti Bol, this is a meal which we are going to make because we have a huge mince which we need to use. I think we are going to make this to serve a fair few people and it means that any left over can go back in the freezer. This will give me a easy meal when Joe is away which I can use up. Spaghetti Bol is something which I know everyone will eat even Troy. I think we may be having this with garlic bread depending on if I pick it up in the shop.
Sunday- Roast Dinner, we have not had a roast for a while now. I think this is something which will work really well this weekend. This is something which we have added because I am going to watch some of the rugby. This can be cooking while I watch it. We are going to have a roast chicken because there is one in the ASDA shop which is seasoned. I think we are going to have some roast potatoes to use and I think I am going to have some with thick gravy.
Monday- Mushy Pea Curry and Chips, this is one from a pinch of nom which we saw. Joe fancied a curry and we was having a look and come around to this. This is something different and something we would never have made before. It is supposed to be like a chip shop curry which is something I really enjoy. For sure this is a meal which I am looking forward to making as it is one which could be a meal which everyone will enjoy. I am going to make my own chips to go with this as well.
Tuesday- Chicken and Pepper Pasta, for some reason I really fancy a pasta dish. I think this is because they are something quick easy and tasty. This one uses fresh pasta and it is not something we have had in a while. So I thought it would be a treat. This is such a basic and nice meal which I feel like everyone needs sometimes. For sure this is a meal which I know the whole family will love and will be asking for seconds of.
Wednesday- Beef Casserole in Giant Yorkshire. For some reason this screams autumnal winter meal. Sadly I am not going to make my own Yorkshire I don’t have a big enough tin to be able to do this. For sure this is a meal which is going to be great should it be a little bit cold. I may do some mash to go with this one as well and a bit of mixed veg. This is one which I may give Troy a small amount of as well because he has never tried a meal like this before.
Thursday- Scampi Chips and Mushy Peas, this is another meal which Joe decided that we was going to have. Scampi is something which he loves anyway. This is not something which I have had in a long time as it is usually something which you would have in a restaurant or when you are at the seaside. For sure this is something which is going to go down well as a little pre weekend treat.
Friday- Mexican Pizza, this is our actually fakeaway meal this week. We are going to be making our own Mexican pizza this is not something which we have made in the past. You actually do use wraps as the base of these which makes it lower in calories. This is one which I think the whole family will be able to make as well which means that it is going to be a fun activity as well as making tea for an evening.
