Our Weekly Meal Plan 13th December

Another week has flown by seriously I do not know where time is going at the moment. It seems to be going at lightening speed. I can not believe that we have only two weeks left now till Christmas as such. This week has marked really the start of Joe’s leave he finished on Tuesday for Christmas. So the countdown can well and truly start. Of course, the baby is due very soon now it is less than a month till our due date it is scary how fast this has flown by. Anyway, on to the meals which we have been consuming this week .

Monday- Chicken Wrapped in Bacon with herby cheese. This is a meal which we have had several times in the past and always one which we have loved. It is something which we have not had in a long time so I thought it would be nice to add to the meal plan again. This is going to be served with jacket potato which we have a couple of large ones in.

Tuesday- Something quick, I have a consultant appointment to discuss the c-section which we are having to deliver player 4. We are also at the panto which we have been asked to review this evening. So food is going to be whatever we can grab quickly because it could be a bit of a rush something you do not want at 36 weeks pregnant.

Wednesday- Pigs in Blankets Carbonara, this is a recipe which I found recently. I thought I would make it before Christmas because for sure I know there will not be any pigs in blankets left after Christmas Dinner. This is a meal which is going to go down very nicely to be honest. I will be sharing the recipe if it is something which we enjoy in the future however, it may be the next festive season now.

Thursday- Gammon, Egg and Chips, I purchased some Gammon in last weeks shop because it was part of an offer. We thought that we would use this up and have it with some eggs and chips which we already had in. This is such a simple meal which we really enjoy. After all gammon is one of Joe’s favourite meals and this is not something he gets too often.

Friday-  Asda Create Your Own Pizza, we decided to get a couple of these from the Asda pizza bar. We are heading away for the weekend to another Forest Holiday. Due to checking in on the Friday we do not want to have to search for somewhere to eat. I think we are going to just want to chill so we have decided to go for this meal. Asda create your own pizza can be as good as some of the takeaway ones we have found in the past anyway.

Saturday-  Indian Takeaway Box, this is something which we have picked up however, we may end up having one day next week. This does depend if we end up eating out instead of consuming this meal. We have decided to take food with us more than normal just because we do not know how tired I am going to be. I have not had a takeaway style Indian in a long time.

Sunday-  Burger, Chips and Onion Rings. We had some burgers from Asda last week which were very nice so we have decided to add them to the meal plan again this week. As you can tell the weekend is going to be a full on treat weekend for us. The beer batter onion rings from Asda are also something which I would recommend picking up.
