Today I am going to be sharing with you our weekly meal plan. This week we feel like a little bit of normality has been restored into our lives. This is because Joe is now going back to work a couple of days a week. I think it is going to nice to have a bit more normality back into our lives. So this means that we need to do a couple of meals which are quicker. This means we can do it when he comes in because there is no guarantee that the children will allow me to cook. Anyway on to the meals which we are going to be consuming this week.
Saturday-Easy Cheesy Tuna Bake, this is a recipe which we got in a booklet from musclefoods. Cheesy Tuna is not something which we have had for a long time this is a proper comfort meal. This is something which I think we need at the moment. This is not a recipe which we would use again we would use a different one or adapt this to our needs.
Sunday- Fish Finger Lasagna, this is a meal which I saw on Toby and Roo’s meal plan. This is not a meal which I would have thought about making. For sure this is something different it does say that you will not go back once you have made this meal. I enjoyed trying it however, it is not something which I would make again because it takes so long and it to be honest I thought that it needed some more flavour.
Monday- Chinese Style Chicken Curry, this is a pinch of nom recipe which I have been thinking of making for a while. For some reason I have not got around to doing this yet. With the weather set to be colder this week I thought now seemed like the perfect time to make this meal. You use the mayflower curry which everyone raves about and I have not had this in the longest time either.
Tuesday- Cheesy Bacon and Sausage Carbonara, this is a meal which we have not had in the longest time. For me this is a proper kind of comfort food. At this point in lockdown I feel like this is something which I really need to be honest. Pasta is always going to go down well in this house to be honest so there is no chance of not having clean bowls with this meal.
Wednesday- Mexican Mince and Rice, this is a meal which sounds like it is going to be like naked burritos. Mexican food is something which we adore anyway even Jess which is a huge bonus for us to be honest. This is a meal which I think I would be able to eat all of the time to be honest. This is a recipe which I found on pinterest. I use this a lot for meal planning to be honest I think that it is one of the most useful tools. For sure this is one of the meals which I am looking forward to even though this week we are having a week of food I love this week.
Thursday- Chicken. Leek and Brie Pie, again this is a meal we have made in the past. This is a great meal which we usually have in the autumnal months. For sure with this meal this does seems perfect at the moment. Of course, I am home to cook this because this is one which does take a little while to actually cook. This is not something which I think we have made with Jess. Hopefully this is going to be something which she is going to be able to love too.
Friday- Takeaway, we are having our second takeaway of lockdown. This is because it is’s Joe’s birthday which in our house means that we have a takeaway. I am unsure what we are going to have I am kind of hoping this is going to be a Chinese. I think if he is lucky we might get brownies as well from a local company this weekend as well. It is going to be a really good treat weekend.
Of course, like every meal plan, this is linked up with the amazing Katy. I get a lot of inspiration from her and the linky which she runs. If you are struggling and consuming the same meals I would recommend checking it out. You may find a meal which you love.
