Today I am going to be sharing with you the meals which we are going to be having this week. Even though we are getting close to Christmas we are still meal planning it is something which I find important. It helps us stay on track make are that we have everything in for the meals which we need that week. Also helps us save a little bit of money are we are not tempted to order a takeaway. Eating healthier is something which I like to do the majority of the time anyway.
Saturday- Dirty Macaroni, this is a meal out of the new pinch of nom book. I have not formed a full opinion on this book yet. This is first recipe which we have made from this book so I am excited. We have liked the other books so fingers crossed this is going to be something which we also enjoy.
Sunday- Chorizo Pasta Bake, again this is another meal which I found on Instagram. Something which I have been loving doing this month is searching some of the slimming world accounts on Instagram. They can have some great recipes on there. A lot of them are so simple to make and things which I may not have thought about making.
Monday- Chicken, Ham and Leek Pie, this is a proper winter comfort meal which sometimes we need. I actually enjoy making my own pie. This is going to be one which is filling I can just tell. There is more than enough in the recipe for there to be some left overs which no doubt Troy will end up having for a meal. I think I am going to serve this with some mash and mixed veg.
Tuesday- Cajun Chicken Pasta, who doesn’t want an easy and simple pasta dish to make towards the end of term. I know that Jess is starting to be very tired and sometimes we are having to fed her earlier. So this is one which we can make in two one for the kids and then one for us later. I may treat us to a cheeky garlic bread with this as well depending if we go to any shops in the mean time.
Wednesday- Philly Cheesesteak Meatloaf, again this is another recipe which is in the new pinch of nom book. This for sure is something which I would not have made in the past. This is one which I think could be amazing and fingers crossed is. I might make some homemade chips to go with this as well.
Thursday- Chilli Burritos, as you might know Mexican food is something which we love in this house. This is going to be one which I know everyone is really going to enjoy. Of course, we will end up making something different for Troy. It might be too messy and possibly spicy for Troy even though he does handle spicy pretty well.
Friday- Meat Filled Calzone, we have decided to order a fakeaway. We have decided not order in this week. Friday Jess has actually off from school and we might put the tree up if she is a good girl. I have decided that we are going to have a buffet when we do the tree. This should be really simple meal and we do not have to make it too loaded if we are not too hungry after all pizza is always amazing the next day anyway which is something which we can have if we need to.
