Today I am going to be sharing our weekly meal plan. This is not going to be a normal as such meal plan because we did get a hello fresh box. This was as a result of us knowing that Troy was going to be joining our family on NYE, I did not know how much I would be able to do after my c-section. We did also get a discount code as we had not had a box in over a year. So this did make it a lot cheaper. Anyway on to the meals which we have been consuming this week.
Monday- Chicken Pasta Bake with Red Pepper and Courgette. This is the first meal we are having from Hello Fresh .Pasta is something which we love it sound such a simple meal and hopefully it is going to be one which fills me up. At the moment I always seem to be hungry.
Tuesday- Honey, Ginger and Soy Parcels. Fish is something which I love so much when this was on the menu I knew we had to try it. It is something a little bit different to what we would normally consume so why not. I really want to be able to up my fish content this year.
Wednesday- Beef Strips with Creamy Laksa, this is something which sounded different. It was a meal from Hello Fresh which Joe actually chose. I am unsure what a creamy Laksa is I am guessing it is some kind of sauce. However, it is a meal which I am looking forward to trying.
Thursday- Chicken Laksa, I know this meal is going to be like last nights. However, there was not much choice in the box of what we could have. This was one which we decided in order to be able to get the box up to 5 meals. I am unsure what to actually expect when it comes to this meal.
Friday- Chickpea and Pistacho Burger, this for sure is one which I am looking forward to consuming. Burgers are great to make on a weekend instead of ordering in a takeaway. Which of course, is a great way to save some money. These burgers are veggie and vegan if you do not put the mayo in. Sometimes I do actually find these meals do have more flavour.
Saturday- Meal out, Joe’s parents are actually coming to up see Troy. We have decided that we are going to go for a meal out. This does mean we do not have to cook which can be a huge bonus when you have been hosting people all day. More so when you are only 11 days after giving birth.
Sunday- Sausage and Chips. This is a meal we are having because we found some sausages which sounded nice when we were in Jack’s. They are cheddar and chive, so we decided we wanted to try them. We are going to have them with chips instead of mash to make it a little bit easier. In case Jess or Troy both need us at the same time. It is all about simple meals this week.
