Well Hello it has been a long time since I have posted I know this. We has isolation at the start of July. Just before Jess broke up from school as someone in her class had covid. She ended up going back to school for about a week and then the summer holidays started. Man have they flown by this year. I know I am lucky because this year Joe was able to take 3 weeks of them off. This means we were able to do some amazing days out. I am hoping to do some reviews on the days out which we have done as well.
We managed to visit Play Avenue, which is a role play centre which both the kids ended up loving. There was also trips to Knowsley Safari, BeWildwood Cheshire, Sundown and The Web. We also managed to take Troy to the beach for the first time. It was amazing to be able to go places this year after been at home for the longest time. I am so glad we have been able to make some amazing memories this summer. This is one of the reasons why I have not been posting because I have been having so much fun with the family. Plus I have been trying to keep them entertained which as you can imagine is a bit of a battle.
I feel like summer is actually over even if we have not had amazing weather this year. I think we have only had the paddling pool out for a couple of weeks this year. Compared to the months we had it out last year and we was always using it. I am a little bit sad that the summer is over but I know we are going to have a lot of fun in the next few months. Even if I do not know what we are going to be doing. If Covid has taught me one thing it is not to plan too much because everything can change in a second.
Next week we have Jess going back to school. I am unsure how it has been a year since she went for the first time she is now joining year 1 with all of the same children as last year. So I am not worried that she is not going to like it she has a huge bunch of friends. We also have Jess’ 6th birthday coming up as well in a couple of weeks. We had debated having a party for her however, we opted against it for a couple of reasons. Currently we have no plans for the weekend after her birthday but I am sure this will change.
Before we blink it will be Hull Fair and Halloween things which we did not manage to do last year because of lockdowns. I am sure that I will be sharing with you some of the things which we get up to. Either on here on on my Instagram.
How has your summer been has it been a quiet one or one which has been packed full of adventure?
