The summer time can be rough on your wallet for a variety of reasons, but one of the main reasons is the amount of clothes your children are going to need for a time like this. It’s hot outside, the sun is out and shining down on us, and those winter threads just aren’t going to cut it anymore!
So, it’s time to think about your child’s summer wardrobe, a little ahead of schedule. You’ve got the time on your side right now, and who knows what kinds of deals you’ll be able to snatch up? Plus, we hope the tips we’ve listed below can inspire you!
Some Play Shoes and Some Serious Shoes
You might just buy your kid a pair of shoes for school and be done with it, but in reality, they’re going to need a pair for more formal or serious situations, and a pair of play shoes they can run around in.
So get your hands on a sturdy pair of trainers for your kids to have a kickabout in, or to go cycling or on long walks through the cool woods near your home. It’ll make the expensive and sleek shoes you bought to look good in class last twice as long, at the very least!
A Set of Summer PJs
The summer can get warm at night, and when that happens, your kids are going to need light and airy pjs to wear to bed. After all, the more layers there are, the harder it will be to get to sleep. And when kids can’t sleep, they’re going to be extremely cranky the next morning!
Summer pjs will be short in length and feel light against your fingertips, so it won’t be hard to get your hands on a pair. They’ll be made out of cotton or linen, to ensure heat does not get stuck in the clothing, and they’ll be quite light and colourful too.
A Light Jumper for Cooler Evenings
Even the evenings in the summer can get a little cool, especially if the kids are still down at the park or having a BBQ on the beach, so make sure they have something a little thicker to still wear. Of course, it’s not going to be hard to slip on another layer, but that just means more washing, and it’s easy to overheat when you’re in multiple layers!
So get your hands on a thin material jumper, as this’ll save you on those cooler evenings and nights, and works very well for the following autumn too. Invest in a couple of Boys crew neck jumpers, as they can be worn on their own, and your kids are definitely going to love how they look in them too.
Buying the kids some clothes for the summer doesn’t have to be hard. Think about the temperatures, think about common summer activities, and remember how touch and go the temperature can be when the sun goes down at night.
Have you swapped your kids wardrobe into their summer one yet?
