Preparing for University

Now you have got the grades which has meant that you are able to go to university you think that the works starts. There are so many small jobs which you can do before freshers week which will make your life a lot easier and when you are miles away from home this can be a massive bonus. Today I am going to share with you some tips which I would recommend doing to make you so easy.

Start learning to wash your own clothes

I actually brought 6 weeks of washing home when I was in my first year however, since then I have actually had to do my own. I would recommend learning how to wash your own clothes because then it means that you can wear what you actually want. Instead of wearing what is clean and there is always your parents to help you out if you get stuck before you got to university.

Learn how to save money

Everyone states that as a student you are going to be super poor but if you learn how to save money this is going to help. You will be able to get a NUS card which helps you save money on the high street and at restaurants if you want to be spendy. While at university, there is a lot of apps which you can use which have discounts codes on. I am going to do a post on this very soon. You can even put money on gift cards for supermarkets which means that you do not spend your food money on a crazy night when you do not have the funds at university.

Learn to cook

This is one which is going to help you massively because of course you do not want to have to spend a lot of money on takeaways and ready meals. I think that been able to cook for your family before you go helps massively because it gets you used to cooking and allows you to ask for help before you leave and live on your own. It also may allow you to be able to get recipe’s from your family which will help the more meals you can cook the less likely you are to get bored of eating the same food. It will also let you get used to batch cooking which helps because we all want not to have to cook when you have a late lecture.

Update your CV

Money is going to be something which you need to have, now if you can update your CV to make sure that it has everything that it needs to have on it.  Things such as your new address, those a levels which you have just completed. I got a job at McDonald’s when I was at university and it was so handy having some more money. I would recommend starting to look for part time jobs now because they are advertising soon and most people do not think of looking until fresher’s week.

Join Facebook groups

You can meet people who you might be able to make friends with on Facebook who you can meet up with when you get to university. For example I know there was a page for the halls which I lived in my first year and I met some of the people who I was going to be living with in this group. There is also usually a group for your university course and this is going to be with people you are going to see so much. It does matter if your friends are on your course or not because there is a lot of time to socialise.

Get a railcard

As a student you are more likely to be between the ages of 16-25 which means that you can get a young persons railcard. You never know when you are going to feel homesick and actually want to come home to see people or explore new places. If you get one of the railcards it does mean that you do actually get 1/3 off travel which we all need because train fairs can be so expensive, they actualy only cost you £30 a year. With Santander you can get a 4 year one with a student bank account.

Sort your stuff out

You do not realise till you are about to move out how much stuff you have actually got in. There will be some things which you may not longer want but that someone else will be willing to pay good money for. I recommend actually sorting things out early and trying to sell what you can on eBay or similar ways. This will give you money to buy things which you might actually want in order to move or it gives you more money for when you are at university.

If you have been to university what would you recommend people do before starting their fresher’s year.

What To Look For In Your First House

Keys

Purchasing a house is something which we are going this summer as you know, currently we do not have a date which we will be moving. One of the things which people have asked is what we have looked at in the houses which we have purchased. There is a few things which we have looked at before we put the offer in our house.  Of course even though this is our first house this is actually a family home as well because we have Jess. Today I am I going to share with you some of the things which we asked or checked.

Check how much mortgage you can get

This is something which I would really recommend going into the banks . Yes I know it can be boring and asking for a mortgage chat even as someone who get anxious very easy I managed to do around 5. This allowed to to see what amount we could borrow and then also allowed us to know the price range of properties we could purchase meaning we did not pick a dream house but not be able to afford to live there that nearly happened. We thought we may be able to get about 50k more than we could actually borrow. The leg work in the process will help you avoid heartbreak I promise it is worth it.

Ask what your new neighbours are like

There is nothing worse than moving in and finding out that your neighbours are not the best and could cause you some actual problems. This is something which we have made sure we asked at every house we were looking at and due to the fact that the lady who lives at the house we have purchased showed us around we got the truth. Some estate agents will not actually know what the neighbours are like, we know that we have a family with a girl one side and then an older couple who have grandchildren visit at times. This is going to be good because of course you don’t want to find out you have noisey neighbours if you have a young family like us.

Why are they moving?

This is something which we did actually ask as well because we did not want to find that there is some problems wit the house and this is the reason for the move. This is something which we asked the majority of the houses which we saw and found out the reason for most was due to the fact they were downsizing, this is one of the reasons the lady is selling her house to us. Again if they do not really want to tell you why they are moving this may start giving you some warning signs that everything is not ok.

How long have you lived in the house?

This is something which we did ask because most people do not purchase a house and then move again within a very short period of time. This may make it harder for some of them to answer the questions. Just because they have not lived there long does not mean that there is a problem with the house they could be moving because of moving for work. This for sure is something to keep an eye on. If something does not seem right it is likely that there is not something right.

Check your commute/ School run

This is something which we made sure that Joe was not too far from work I think that at the moment it is only 40 minutes. Of course, at the moment I do not have a job but I am looking at ones which are about an hour max of the house. We have made sure that we are close to schools because of course Jess will be starting school in 2 Septembers time. We have managed to make sure that Jess have found a nursery which is close to the new house so that she does not have to commute.

Make sure you have enough space

If you are like us when there is a chance that we may have another child in the future. If this is something which we do I do not want to have to move house because we would need the space. In the house we have actually purchased we have two spare bedrooms which will mean we still have a spare room if we have another child. This will save us having to move house for a long period.

Check the wifi speed

The internet is something which we do actually use the internet so much because of course I spend a lot of my time on my blog. Where as Joe on the other hand is always playing with his friends online which means that he needs to be able to have good wifi in order to not lag in the game because this for sure can be too annoying. We have found fast wifi and we have found that this is not actually going to be breaking the bank.

Parking

Make sure that you are going to be able to park outside your house because this is something which is very annoying if you can not.We are going to be lucky and actually have a drive but currently I at my house when we pull up it is unknown if we are going to be able to park which can become very annoying. I would check near the house at different time of days and different days in order to know what it is like. There is nothing worse than been able to park during the day when your at work but not when you want to be able to when you have finished at home and are on an evening of chilling out.

How far things are way

This is something which we had on our spreadsheet for far the basics which we need are away from the property. For example we had how far the primary school was which Jess could attend in a few years time. How far the local shop is away for when we need basics like milk and bread along with the major supermarket which we could do our weekly shop is away. This also included the train stations as it is likely when I get a job I will have to commute without the use of a car.

Check the eco rating of the house

This may give you an indication on how eco efficient the house is because the last thing you want to be doing is spending all of your money on the bills. This is something which we looked at and for free you can see how you could improve the rating. This is good because you could save yourself some money in the long run however, it does not tell you the price of the bills this is something if comfortable you may feel like you want to do with the owner.

Make sure you visit more than once

There is nothing worse than only seeing a place once and then putting in an offer. This is because it might not be as you remembered it. We have bought the first house which we saw however, there was around 15 viewings of different houses which we shortlisted to those which met our needs. Then there was around 5 which we viewed a second time and then we found the one but it allows you to compare things between the houses and also make sure you remember the correct house.

Of course we have only purchased our first home recently but these are what I would recommend for anyone who is looking. We used Zoopla to find the houses which we found worked for us both been able to have the app really helped. Enjoy the time you spend looking we started viewing houses and selected one within a month but had been looking online for over a year so I feel like we kind of knew what what we wanted.

What tips would you give to someone who is looking to purchase their first home?

Review: Hopster TV & Learning App

There is a time when Jess wants a little bit of time when she has quiet time. Sometimes she will use YouTube but that does mean that she can access anything because I do not have any parental control on the app. However, recently we were contacted by Hopster who is a learning and TV app for children who are between the ages of 2-5 years.

Screen time has allowed Jess to be able to learn a lot of her numbers and colours . It also gives me a break when maybe she has been a little bit full on and I do not want her to push me too much or the fact that I need to do something which means she needs to actually entertain herself.  Hopster is also a great app to download if you happen to be traveling this is something which Jess used so much when we used to commute.

We have been using Hopster for a couple of months now this has allowed us to form actual opinions.  We have used previous apps in the past, however, even when you have paid for them we have noticed that it has still had adverts.  This is something which you do not have on Hopster it is 100% advert free this does mean that Jess that on the app rather than actually getting on something else which causes her to get annoyed.

The app is far from basic they have so much on it including

  • Shows
  • Music
  • Books
  • Games
  • Create
  • Plus a themed area which changes regularly

The shows can be downloaded which means there is no need to use up your data when you out and about. This is something which I love because there is nothing worse than having no data left.  The choices of shows on there include Pingu, Ben and Holly, Thomas and also Fireman Sam.  I have actually downloaded some of them to my phone so that when Jess is losing her mind and needs to wait for something such as food I can give her this to ease the meltdown. I think there are around 800 shows which means that Jess should not get bored of the same episodes.

The books section is one which we love this is because Jess loves books and not always been at home means reading can be hard.  There are some of our favourite stories on the app including the tiger who came to tea which is one that I have loved since my own childhood.  There are also a number of books which I have not heard of on the app because it is always amazing to be able to find more books. Again there is such a good selection which means your child can not get bored with the books.

Painting is something which Jess adores but she is only able to do at nursery. This is because we do not have the space to be able to paint when we are at Daddy’s I can not wait till we can craft at the new house.  Jess for sure loves to be able to paint and create artwork on Hopster regular I find Jess has saved pictures onto my camera roll. She even has used it in the car when I do not want Jess to nap because the trip is not too far. I think that this is great should you not be able to do traditional arts and crafts.

I have had a lot of fun on the games with Jess. A couple of our favourites on Hopster include the app where you have to collect the flies and feed them to the frog. I know this is one which Jess enjoys playing on as well. I know that another game which Jess loves on the game is the alphabet hotel which is where you have find the same letter as your playing on, trace the letter and make words using the letter. This is something which Jess can spend hours playing on and I think this is the way she has learned a lot of the alphabet along with attending nursery. I am glad to see that over the time which we have been using Hopster Jess’s knowledge has increased and I do put this down to the fact that she has been playing games which are educational.

Hopster is available via a paid subscription for £3.99 a month, £19.99 for 6 months or £34.99 for 12 months. There is no contract and you can cancel the subscription at any point. You do get 1 month free trail which means that you can see if the app is for you before forking out anymore for it.  Personally I feel for the amount of quality content and the variety you get, the prices are great value for money. Once subscribed you can then access Hopster on multiple devices. This is something which I need to do but it on Joe’s phone so I do not always lose my phone to Jess.

Have you used Hopster with your child? If so what did you think?

We were given a subscription to Hopster in exchange for review, however, all thoughts as my own.

Days Out- Hull Explorer

It is not often you get to be a tourist in your own city, recently I was contacted by East Yorkshire.  Seeing if I would like to review their back for 2018 open top bus tour in Hull called the Hull Explorer.  Jess and I actually managed to go on the bus on one of the hottest days of the year which meant she wanted to sit in the shade in order to make sure she was not poorly.

The bus tour lasts between 80-90 minutes depending on traffic of course, and it a hop on hop off bus service. You learn so much about the history of the city of Hull, see parts which you may never have seen even as a local there was parts I had not been to in a long time. Due to the bus been hop on hop off it does mean that you can get off for drinks or have a closer look at some of the sites of Hull. This is something which we did not have the option of doing due to the fact it was a training day we attended but this is for sure something which I would do if I went back on the Hull explorer.  I think on a nice day getting of the bus and having some drinks down Humber Street and the Marina would be very nice and refreshing.

While you are on board the Hull Explorer you will have a very knowledgeable guide who will enlighten you about the story of Hull. Also some of the landmarks which it is home to.  I actually learn so much on the bus, for example, the reason why the city is called Kingston upon Hull is that it was the second biggest port outside of London.  So it was the king’s town upon the River Hull.  I also learned that Hull has a statue to King Billy who is the one who brought Gin to England so I think we owe so much to him.

On the tour you get to see places such as Queen Victoria square which is home to the city hall, and the maritime museum. This is along with the statue of Queen Victoria who sits above the public toilets. This allows you to see some of the old buildings despite being in the city center close to all of the shops.  This would be a great place to get on or off if you want to browse the shops or learn more about Hull’s fishing history.

Just around the corner from the Queen Victoria Square there are queens gardens as I said it was a very nice day there was a lot of people enjoying the sun. This would be a great spot to grab some lunch or having a drink. These are beautiful fountains and around the back, there is a huge pond which you could enjoy. This is close to be two of the old docks in Hull and close by in Beverley gate you can see some of the remains. The King was locked out of the city by the people during the start of the English Civil War.

High street is another place where you get to visit on the Hull explorer. This recently had been filmed as the streets of London in Victoria the hit tv show. This is still home to some of the old warehouses which used to be used by the fisherman when Hull was still a thriving fishing port.  This is a cobbled street so it can be pretty bumpy when you are on the Hull Explorer.

The marina is another stop which the you will get to visit, this is very close to Humber Street. Both areas have been redeveloped as a result of the city of culture this is a thriving area with a lot of bars and restaurants.  This for sure is an area which you should get off and spend some time around there is some amazing ice cream areas.

There are other amazing areas which you visit including:

  • Cenotaph
  • Wilberforce Monument
  • Museums Quarter
  • Hull Minster
  • The Deep

This year, Hull Explorer runs for every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 7 July until 2 September.  This means there is plenty of time this summer to explore more about the city of Hull.  The Hull Explorer is not expensive with adult day tickets at £8, students and OAps’s £6 and children £5. Those who are under 5 are free and a family ticket can be purchased for just £21.

Conclusion

I would recommend visiting Hull and going on the Hull Explorer I learn so much on this tour. Jess enjoyed seeing some of the different cities around the city however, it may have been due to the heat that she got fed up. However, we she is only 2. I would recommend going on this tour even if you are a local because it is always good to learn more about your own city.

Have you ever been to Hull if so what did you think?

Understanding The Language of Formula One

Formula one is a sport which I have always enjoyed watching, however in recent years I may not have seen may races to live on tv for several reasons. This upcoming weekend is the British GP which means there is going to be more casual viewers watching. So today I thought I would share with you some language which you may hear the commentators say or on the team radios because after all if you are watching the race you want to understand what is going on. Including the tatics and tyre talk

Aerodynamics-

This is the amount of airflow over and around an object this is what sets the design of the car most cars do look the same in order to have the same amount of air flow.

Apex-

This is the middle point of the inside line around a corner at which drivers aim their cars. This is the best racing line so most drivers do want to be here.

Blistering-

This is usually one which we hear in races which are undertaken in hot countries but with the heatwave which is hitting Britain at the moment, it could be something which we see over the weekend. It basically means part of the tyre is overheating which causes the rubber to become soft and break away in sections away from the car. There are a few reasons why this may occur is can be due to the car having the wrong set of tyres, for example, being too soft or the pressure is not correct. This can impact many drivers several times during the season affect their race as they need to apply fresh tyres.

Chassis-

This is one which you hear regular this is the main body of the car which is made of carbon fiber this is attached to the engine and the suspension. Damage to the chassis could see the end of a driver’s race and there is usually debris of the chassis along the track after a collision.

Chicane-

A tight sequence of corners which are in alternate directions. Usually designed into a circuit to slow the cars, often just before what had been a high-speed corner. This can be an area in which the cars lose control due to the fact that they have a lapse in concentration.

Compound-

This is the part of the tyre in contact with the road which is a major factor in deciding tyre performance. Each tyre is made up of at least ten ingredients which can change depending on the compound these could be to a different degree which explains why you get different compound tires like soft, medium.

Drive-through penalty-

This is one of the penalties which can be given to the drivers during the race. In this penalty the driver has to enter the pit lane, making sure they comply with the speed limit then they have to rejoin the race without stopping.

DRS-

This stands for Drag Reduction System which rear wings allow the driver to adjust the wing between two pre-determined settings from the cockpit. This is only allowed when the driver is less than one second behind another car at set points on the track. This is to boost overtaking and give us better races, it stops when the driver does brake

Graining-

When a car slides, it can cause little bits or rubber to come away from the tyre’s.  The style of the driver, track conditions, fuel load and the tyre its self can play a role in graining. The more a car moves on the track the more likely that graining is going to occur,

Lock-up

This is when the driver brakes sharply locking one or more tyres while the others rotate. If a driver is going this you usually can see tyre smoke coming from the wheels.

Sectors-

For timing purposes, the lap is split into three sections, each of which is roughly a third of the lap. These sections are officially known as Sector 1, Sector 2 and Sector 3.

Slipstreaming

This is an important driving tactic which is when a driver is able to catch the car ahead and duck in behind its rear wing to benefit from a reduction in drag over its body to gain maximum speed and an advantage. To find out more about slipstreaming click here

Traction-

The amount of pressure the car is able to transfer its power onto the track surface for forwarding progress.

Tyre compound-

The type of rubber mix used in the construction of a tyre, ranging from soft through medium to hard, with each offering a different performance and wear characteristic.

I hope this helped if you are going to watch the F1 for the first time in a while this weekend.

Goals For Rest Of 2018

How the hell is it already July, I swear this year is going on double time. It’s is going that quickly that I am going to have a 3-year-old in just a couple of months which is scary she was only born like two moments. I am one of those people who always have to have goals which I can achieve because to me it then feels like I can progress and how much I have improved and come in a period of time.

Today I am going to set myself some goals to have achieved in the in the six months up until then. I am. It going to make all blog related some are going to be easier than others due to the fact I don’t want to feel like a failure if I do not achieve anything

The first one is something which I hope will look achieve soon is moving into our first family house. I can not wait till we have our own space because it going to be perfect not having to think about where we are going to be staying where is easier. Along with when I have to stay at home because Joe is away meaning that I don’t stay with him.

As you might have read I didn’t get on to my masters this year. This means that I am applying for jobs having a job in the sports or Heath industries is something which may help actually achieve my goal of getting on my masters in the future. Been unemployed is not something I want long term it is something which I didn’t exactly enjoy when I had a year off following having Jess.

Of course, something else which I really want to achieve is to complete trailwalker which is the 100km challenge which I undertake in less than 2 weeks time. Even if I do not actually complete the whole distance I am so proud that I have managed to raise at least £600 for charity if you would like to donate you can here.  Every single pound is going to help ease my blisters which I am going to obtain.  It is a crazy challenge which I am sure I am going to enjoy as well as hate at certain points regret my decision.

I would love to work with some more brands this year I do have a list of brands which I would love to work with this for the rest of the year. This is not something which I am going to share for now. I have managed to work with some amazing brands already and I would love to collaborate with them again and some new brands in the rest of the year.

I would love to be able to grow my social media at the moment I have 147 followers on my facebook. This is something which I would love to grow to up to 175 this would mean that I have to work more on my page as at the moment I would say it is the social which I neglect the most.  Twitter is one which I used to love and have close to 1500 followers I am @cupsofcharlotte  over there I would love to gain 1750 if this is possible. So if you do not already follow me I would love if you come over and follow me. Instagram is the one which I am growing on the most at the moment I currently have around 925 followers and would love maybe to have 1250 by the end of the year I am also @cupsofcharlotte over there.

What are your goals for the end of the year?

See A Different Side of Tenerife- Virgin of Candelaria

When we think of the island of Tenerife most of us think about the beautiful beaches, hot weather and resorts.  However, there is a huge cultural festival which takes place when millions of us Brits have flocked to the island ready to worship the sun.

Virgin of Candelaria festival takes place every single 14-15th August in the peak of the tourist season. This festival actually celebrates the lady of Candelaria, otherwise known as the Patron Saint of the Canary Islands. People visit from all of the Canary Islands visit the city of Candelaria to participate in processions. This is only 50 minutes’ drive from the popular resort of Playas de la Americas meaning you could actually take in some of the celebrations should you choose to hire a car.

During this festival due to the fact it is celebratory the patron saint of the land it is taken very seriously with mass, religious processions. However, if you are looking or a more party element this also takes place with hundreds of kiosks and bars which are selling a variety of food including local specialties along side chips and burgers.

The atmosphere at this festival is reported as buzzing even before the start of the main show occurs which is when the Black Madonna is paraded around the Plaza de la Patrona de Canarias. The feast day  (15th August) is the assumption of the Virgin into Heaven, it is customary for college students and families to spend a day or two hiking to their Mother. They are rewarded by great processions and festivities reenacting the legend of the Black Madonna before attending the festival.

There is a reenactment of the Guanches and the Black Madonna meeting each other for the first time which is send to be very impressive. This occurs at dusk time following on from this there fireworks which are lit exploding into the night sky. On the 15th August which is classed as the big day there his Mass which is taken with very important people including a representative of the King of Spain and the President of the Goverment of the Canary Islands. After this there is the spreading of the image of the Virgin of Candelaria around the Plaza de la Patron of the Canary Islands .

If you like the sound of this festival and want to attend this year www.holidaygems.co.uk have some really cheap deals on currently in order to be at the event. I have found a weeks holiday in Tenerife including both days of Virgin of Candelaria. For as low as £240 per person this may depend of course were you fly from. I only looked at the North East why not combine some culture with a trip to the sun?

Have you ever been to the Virgin of Candelaria festival.

Managed WordPress Hosting With Speedydot

Once you have created your blog/website and you are trying to create and you are happy with of for a period of time.  Ifr you are anything like me you get bored without making changes something which I did at the start of the year was to  make my website managed WordPress hosting.

When I did this I had huge problems for some reason my site was not able to be viewed in the UK however, it could be abroad.  Using the hosting company who I choose I found it hard to ever speak to an advisor online. I wish I had found Speedydot hosting. They have a team in the UK who you can ring and it is not a number which is going to break the bank. They also have tickets and live chat which means that they have 24/7 UK support which is something which I wish I had.   You never want your site to be down it is even worse if it is at night and you can not speak to someone till the next morning or the next working day. Another benefit of using this site is that they are a small company who will actually care about you as a person rather than just a number.  And they know that having your site up and running is actually essential to you.

Another bonus of using speedydot is that they do a weekly backup of your site. This means should anything go wrong you will only use the maximum of a week’s work. Backing up my site is actually something which I forget to do and I think currently if something happened I would be losing a couple of months worth of work.  This always gives you a piece of mind should anything actually go wrong.

For a lot of bloggers who do not have a massive following or a ton of content, they do a basic package which is £3 per month.  With this it allows your website to be no larger than 5GB that is the amount of storage which you can have. Speedydot do have larger packages with more storage but of course, the price does actually slightly increase.  Another bonus which I wish I had is 100% network uptime guarantee this means that your website site should be available for people to read 100% of the time. This is a bonus because you want people to be able to read your site when they are free.

If you find that speedydot are not for you they do actually have 30 days money-back guarantee. This does mean that you do not have anything to lose you either find a company who you want to host your website for a long period of time. Or you actually get your money back and use a larger company.

Have you used Speedydot?

Ideas For Decorating a toddler’s bedroom

As many of you know we are planning to move house this summer which is going to see Jess get her own room for the very first time.  I have not been able to actually design a nursery when she was born so I am so excited to do a toddler room for her. I have been thinking about the types of things which I want in her room of course some of them she might actually get a some of them may be able to occur not long after we move in the property which we get.

Reading Corner

Jess does actually love reading books and story time is something which I want to implement in her bedtime routine. I do actually think that reading is something which is very important when your child is young because of the fact that it allows them to be able to increase their language. I think this is something which may actually help her sleep better due to the fact that she is not going to be having a lot of screen time before bed as we all know too much blue light can make you not sleep. I would love to be able to get her a really nice bookcase which means that she is going to be able to reach her books so she could read them when she wants. Hopefully, we can have either some cute cushions to sit on or some bean bags so it is a very cozy and pleasurable area to be in.

Feature Wall

Feature walls can make a child’s room feel very personal. While browsing on the internet I found Wallsauce who are a company who sell made-to-measure children’s wallpaper.  There is some amazing wallpaper I think the one which is the lego pattern would love amazing in the man cave which Joe wants to create and would fit in with the gaming/office room he is hoping to create when we get the house. I know for sure that there is some of the wallpaper which Jess would love for example the animal ones due to the fact she is obsessed with them. I think I would be really fun to have something which is a bit different to the standard wallpaper which is on the market. These come in panels which I think it may make it easier than actually wallpapering normally.

Storage

Making sure that Jess has enough room for the oodles of toys which she has managed to accumulate in the short time which she has been here is important. I want to be able to make sure that she can get the toys which she wants to be able to play with easily without having to pull everything out.  This may mean that we end up having storage boxes which can be pulled out for example like the ones from Ikea which every blogger seems to have somewhere in their house, to be honest. Making sure she knows were things belong may actually lead to her been able to keep her room more tidy well I can always dream right?

Playden/ Tepi

This is something which I can see Jess really wanting due her always now wanting to build dens or as she calls them tents. This is an area which for her could be soft in case she does fall over because we all know she is a very clumsy child. Causing damage to herself is not something which I really want to occur I also think that this could be another area which she would be able to read in along with the fact she could play cars there no doubt quite happily. I have seen a few which are not too girly which I am sure is something she will like because she is not all about the pink.

Quotes and pictures

These are a great thing to put in your toddlers/ child’s room because of the fact that they are going to grow up. This means that things are going to want to be changed over this time as they will calim that something is for babies instead of the age that they are. A benefit of having quotes and picturres in frames it means that they can be updated over time which means can fit whatever the child is in to at the moment and recent pictures. For example, at the moment we have a few nice pictures of Jess which I would love to display along with some motivation/educational pieces. When I feel like they are no longer relevant it would be easy to get new ones along with the fact it would not break the bank.

How did you decorate your toddler’s room?

The Latest Deals While Online Shopping

I am sure I am not the only one who shops online and always looks for some kind of discount code or some kind of latest deals. I hate paying full price on something which I can get a discount on. I have found myself googling the company in order to be able to get, some money off. This is something which I do more around Christmas because I order so much at this time of the year. However, this is something which I am doing at the moment due to the fact, that we are starting to look at things for the house.

I used latest deals to get £100 off a cordless Dyson hoover which is amazing because, this is something which we did need for the house as well as helping keep the car clean. This was from Argos which meant that we did not have to wait ages in order to get the item either. I had a browse on there while writing this post and found that at the moment on of the latest deals is that you can get £50 off a microwave. Again this is going to be something which we are going to have to purchase for the house in the next few months as we get ready to purchase and move in. All the deals are from companies which you have heard of for example at the moment their are offers from ASDA, Amazon and Wilko.

You do not have to be looking for house hold items they have offers on every day essentials such as have food and also beauty products. For example I did see a electric toothbrush which was on offer from £40 to £13 which is amazing you would be able to give this as a gift or even treat yourself. I try and make sure that I do not browse it too much because I am a sucker for a bargain and would end up purchasing a lot which I do not end up needing.

This for sure is a site which I have shared with a number of people because I know I am not the only one who does actually love a bargain. As the majority of my friends are people who are students or the have left university in the last few years which means that they are still on such a budget.

Where do you find your bargain and best deals?
