Our Weekly Meal Plan 20th March

Today I am going to be sharing with you our weekly meal plan. Like I do every single week I will admit I am not bragging what food we have in. We are lucky to have a lot normally in the cupboards and the freezer. It does mean that when Joe goes on exercises I do not have to worry as much about food. Of course, I just have to get some fresh produce in which is never an actual issue. Of course, as I write our meal plan the shops are bare and there is not a lot of food. I am trying to be sensible and use some of what we have in instead of purchasing more so here is what is on the meal plan this week.  Monday and Tuesday Joe is actually away with work as well so it is just me for food.

Monday- Steak, Ale and Stilton Pie, this is something which has been on our meal plan for the last couple of weeks. I actually got around to making it about time because it is something which I have been looking forward to. This is a meal which we have made in the past it is a recipe which we saw on Charlotte Taylors Youtube. For sure this is a meal which we will make again it is something which is such a comfort food. I feel like I need at the moment with everything that is going on. I had this with some sweetcorn which I had opened and needed using up.

Tuesday- Steak, Ale and Stilton Pie, I used some more of it up I had it with a Jacket Potato this was nice. There is still a decent size portion left so I have decided to freeze this for a future meal. No doubt I will end up having it when Joe is on his course over the summer months.

Wednesday- Cheeseburger Rice, this is something which I saw on someone meal plan last week. For the life of me sadly I can not remember who it was. It is a meal which I would not have thought about making. However, it was full of flavour. I think it may be a recipe which I do end up sharing in a few months when I have completely mastered it something which I have not managed to do yet.  It may sound strange however, it is one which I would recommend trying don’t knock it till you have actually tried it.

Thursday- Crustless Quiche, I had some onions ham and peppers which needed to be used up. Instead of throwing them away, I turned them into a crustless quiche. This means that it is a lot lighter than an actual quiche. This is a meal which I would make again because it is so simple we had leftovers which we managed to finish off for lunch the next day. Of course, you could put anything into this and have any flavour. For sure I think I will be making this again while we are trying to live on products which we already have in. To limit the number of trips to the supermarket.

Friday–  Literally I have no clue we need to go food shopping. Don’t worry we will find something to eat we just have not a lot of fresh things in the fridge. It may be me but I am liking having to be a bit creative with the meals which I am making at the moment I know this may not be the case if you have fussy eaters or allergies.

Saturday- Pulled Chicken Burgers, this is like pulled pork however, with chicken we could not get hold of any pork. I am sure this is going to be as tasty if not juicier it may be healthier than a pork version. I will have to report back because I know so many people like pulled pork. Fingers crossed we can get some soft rolls to go with it because I think this would be the icing on the cake. We have some sweet potatoes which could do with been used up I might have to make them into fries.

Sunday- Veggie Stirfry, seen as it is mother’s day and we would normally have something like a roast. However, this year is not normal we are supposed to be socially distancing and restaurants are closed. We have decided that we are going to have a veggie stirfry instead. I think we may end

Of course, like every meal plan, this is linked up with the amazing Katy. I get a lot of inspiration from her and the linky which she runs. If you are struggling and consuming the same meals I would recommend checking it out. You may find a meal which you love.
